Your retirement contributions did not increase (Congress proposed increasing them by 6 percent . . . a pay cut!)

Your retirement formula did not change (A bill proposed changing it from high 3 to high 5)

You retained your union rights and your contract (Union rights, including your contract, would have been eliminated at certain agencies)

You enjoyed innovative workplace benefits like telework, AWS, transit subsidies and flexible spending accounts

You had a safety net of topnotch workplace representation in the event of a problem
