Since last we met, your NTEU Chapter #296 leaders have been very busy on your behalf.  We have learned a lot, we have represented your interests in several different settings, and we have a lot to report to you on a wide range of issues.  This is true every month.

We have received the final version of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that chapter leaders negotiated on your behalf. NTEU national negotiating attorney Brandon Baseman will attend to describe the major benefits derived from the new CBA.  This will be a ratification briefing.  The union will let you know when the ratification vote is scheduled.  All WASO staff who are members of the union at the time of the ratification meeting may vote on whether to accept the new CBA.  Our field attorney, Sarah Riger, will also be present to describe the CBA ratification process and answer any other questions you have.

The Union continues to receive briefings and have made suggestions on the planned move of NPS employees from the 1201 Eye Street facility to the MIB.  We will share with you a summary of what we have learned, what are the next steps, and how you can get involved.

Transition news - as we all are aware, there is a new Presidential Administration in place.  We will share with you the latest information that we have regarding the transition.

If there is time, we will provide updates on other topics.  As always, we will provide plenty of time for both: 1) your questions and answers and 2) your comments and suggestions.

Because this meeting is designed for WASO staff only, we will monitor the call-ins.
All WASO staff members are welcome! Please join us.  Bring a friend or listen in with one!  Enjoy lunch with your co-workers while you learn the latest news from Chapter 296.
